Don't look at the Sun
WHAT IS DON'T LOOK AT THE SUN?
Don't Look At The Sun is a seven-stage puzzle game that turns a simple warning into a sequence of deceptive visual and interface challenges. Created by @namarikarte, it begins with the cheerful hand-drawn Mr. Sun against a blue sky, but later stages hide the idea of the "sun" inside moving objects, Japanese kanji, settings, national flags, and other interface elements. Solutions can involve hovering, tapping, dragging objects, entering text, or manipulating controls, so each stage asks you to reconsider what counts as the target. The colorful opening also develops a more unsettling atmosphere through overexposure, darkness, blurred light, and sound-related clues. Examine more than the obvious objects, rethink what each screen is showing you, and uncover the next hidden sun!
HOW TO PLAY
Inspect The Whole Screen: Look beyond Mr. Sun and consider text, menus, symbols, and interface elements as possible clues.
Try Different Interactions: Hover, tap, drag, type, or manipulate available controls depending on what the stage presents.
Move What Blocks You: Some obstacles can be dragged away rather than simply waited out.
Read Visual Clues Carefully: Pay attention to characters, symbols, flags, and other details that may represent the sun indirectly.
Experiment With Interfaces: Settings and audio-related controls can become part of the puzzle instead of functioning only as menus.
Question The Instructions: Some solutions depend on reconsidering what the title or current scene is actually asking you to do.

Discover How Each Stage Redefines The Sun
The early puzzles establish the central idea before gradually changing its meaning. Sustained contact with Mr. Sun causes the screen to become increasingly washed in white, while another stage places drifting clouds over his face and lets you drag them away. Later challenges stop relying on the mascot altogether, encouraging you to investigate ordinary-looking words, characters, menus, and other screen elements for less obvious representations of the sun.
Manipulate Characters, Flags, And Interface Clues
Several stages depend on unconventional interactions. Japanese kanji appear in puzzles involving 日, including a calendar challenge and another where removing a stroke from 目 creates the required character. Elsewhere, raising a BGM slider can restore a dejected Mr. Sun, while elements involving speaker controls, "SE," and the Unity logo can be rearranged to form "SUn." A message-board puzzle accepts country names with explicit solar symbols on their flags, including Japan and Argentina.
Find A Different Route In Stage 1
The standard route repeatedly encourages interaction despite the warning in the title, but a secret true ending takes the opposite approach. It can be discovered in Stage 1 by remaining passive for roughly one minute without placing the pointer on Mr. Sun. Instead of finding another hidden object or manipulating the interface, this route rewards following the title literally and provides an alternative outcome to the usual puzzle progression.
